It was purchased by the San Diego Housing Commission to turn the entire complex into affordable housing for the next 55 years. There are 145 units in all, two for the on-site managers.There is also a new community center housed in a brand new building with triple the amount of space of the old center. It includes a meeting room with kitchen and a computer lab, as well as after-school programs and adult education.Housing Commission Vice President Colin Miller and Senior Vice President Emily Jacobs stopped by to discuss the project.
